| Jobbeschreibung | Your tasks: - You take research responsibility to drive forward a project within a consortium of industrial and academic partners - You produce proteins - from cloning of genes to protein purification - and perform biotransformation reactions in multiple formats (cell-free, whole-cell and in immobilized forms) - You perform high-throuput screening methods and instrumental analysis (liquid and gas chromatography, spectroscopic and mass spectrometric methods) - You self-responsibly ensure microbiological strain maintenance and operate and maintain biotechnological equipment - You plan, conduct and document experiments independently and reliably - You reliably supervise students at B.Sc. and M.Sc. level and support PhD candidates in their research projects - You coordinate and communicate the projects' progress with your peers in the team and with the consortial partners - You support the project supervisor in project reporting and administration |
| Qualifikationen | Your profile:
- You have completed a Phd (Dr. rer. nat, or equivalent in, e.g., biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry) in a field and topic related to the project description, which you can substantiate with relevant publications - You have sound knowledge and experimental experience in genetics, protein biochemistry, and biotechnology - You are a reliable, meticulous and flexible team player with good communication and management skills - You are confident in all relevant fields of digital data processing (digital lab book, data evaluation with scientific software, data preparation and presentation in visual forms) - Your are fluent in English in spoken and written form (spoken language in the lab) as well as in German (or commit to complete German language courses) - You are able to independently compose reports and manusctipts of your performed research |
