Jobbeschreibung | Your tasks - Preparation of samples containing biomolecules in solutions with different additives (polymers, salts, etc.) - Characterization of the resulting samples by means of optical spectroscopy (UV-Vis, FTIR), dynamic light scattering (DLS), structural and dynamical investigations by means of advanced X-ray scattering methods: Small-Angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and X-ray Photon Correlation Spectroscopy (XPCS) - Participation in X-ray scattering experiments at world leading large-scale X-ray facilities such as Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY in Hamburg, European Synchrotron Radiation Facility ESRF in Grenoble and European X-ray Free Electron Laser EuXFEL in Schenefeld - Analysis of the collected X-ray scattering data using modern approaches, including machine learning tools developed in the group - Presentation of the obtained scientific results on conferences and in publications |
Qualifikationen | Requirements
- Master’s degree in Physics or Chemistry, or equivalent - Interest in Experimental Biophysics - Good written and spoken English - Ability to work both independently and in a team - Programming skills (Python or MATLAB) and lab working experience are strong advantages |
