Jobbeschreibung | Your Job: - Fabricate and test area-dependent memristive devices with electron transparent top electrodes (e.g. graphene) for operando spectroscopy - Develop device geometries suitable for operando spectroscopy for selected other device types in close collaboration with other TRR members in Aachen, Jülich or Dresden. - Investigate devices by PEEM within the Electronic Oxide Cluster of the FZ-Juelich - Plan and conduct beamtimes at European synchrotron facilities (e.g. Berlin, Paris, Triest, Lund) for operando analysis (HAXPES, PEEM, TXM) - Analyse and evaluate spectroscopic data and develop microscopic models for the device operation or failure - Exchange and interact with the project partners at TU Dresden with respect to the TEM-based analysis of the devices - Publication of the results in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presentation at project meetings and conferences |
Qualifikationen | Your Profile:
- Excellent Master degree in Physics, Material Science or Chemistry with knowledge on nanotechnology - Profound knowledge on solid state physics and basic knowledge on sprectroscopic techniques - Willingness and ability to think beyond the boundaries of your field, to act team-oriented in an international and diverse environment and to live an open and constructive communication - Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, creativity, and an independent, target- and solution-driven work attitude - First experience with conducting Synchrotron beamtimes - Fluent speaking and writing skills in English |
